HA GIANG MOTOR TOURS – 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS

• 9:00 PM: pick up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter  and depart to Ha Giang, overnight on the bus.
• 3:00 AM: on the next morning: The bus drop off you at Ha Giang Motor Tours homestay, check -in early homestay included.

We meet at 10:00 AM : for a full briefing about the Ha Giang Loop. Your guide will share tips, safety notes, and the stories behind the roads you’re about to ride. Then the adventure begins. We wind up Bac Sum Pass, where every turn reveals a new layer of mountains stacked against the sky. Stop at Heaven Gate in Quan Ba and breathe it all in. Below you, Tam Son Valley unfolds with the iconic Fairy Bosom Mountains rising from emerald rice fields. Lunch in Tam Son Town with local specialties. In the afternoon, explore Lung Khuy Cave – a hidden gem of stalactites and legends, tucked deep in the mountains. By 6:30 PM, we roll into Yen Minh. Check into a cozy homestay, share a family-style dinner, then the night comes alive. Play cards, listen to local music, sip “happy water” corn wine, and swap stories under a sky full of stars.

Wake up to the mountain air. After breakfast, we head into Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark – a UNESCO Global Geopark where 400 million years of Earth’s history is written in stone. Today’s highlights:

• Tham Ma Pass: Once the test of a horse’s strength, now a test of your camera roll. The serpentine road is pure poetry.
• Lao Sa Village: Visit H’Mong houses with clay walls and yin-yang tiled roofs, just a stone’s throw from the Chinese border.
• Sung La Village: Step into the “Pao’s House” from the famous Vietnamese film. Time seems to stop here.
• Vuong Palace in Sa Phin: The mansion of the H’Mong “King” in the early 1900s. Opium wealth built it, but history haunts its wooden halls.

Then comes the king of all passes: Ma Pi Leng. Carved into sheer cliffs by hand, it’s the crown jewel of the Happiness Road. Stop at Ma Pi Leng Canyon viewpoint. Far below, the Nho Que River cuts through Tu San Canyon – one of Asia’s three deepest canyons. The view will leave you speechless. We arrive at Pa Vi Village by sunset. This cluster of H’Mong clay houses is built for travelers. Join the Sunset Party, enjoy local music, games, and more happy water with new friends.

Morning starts with adrenaline. Board a boat on the emerald Nho Que River. As you glide through Tu San Canyon, 700m cliffs tower above you. It’s humbling, raw, and unforgettable. Back on the road, we trek a section of the Ma Pi Leng Skywalk for that perfect bird’s-eye shot. We pass through M Pass and stop at Lung Ho for another panoramic viewpoint that feels like the edge of the world. By afternoon, the landscape softens as we descend to Du Gia. This valley village is pure tranquility. Check into a homestay surrounded by rice terraces. The evening is yours: play games, enjoy local music, and let the happy water flow. Du Gia nights are for bonding.

• Last day, but the magic isn’t over. Wake up to breakfast with a view of golden rice fields. Then cool off with a swim at Du Gia Waterfall – a local favorite hidden in the jungle.On the way back, we stop at Lung Tam Village, famous for H’Mong hemp weaving. Try your hand at making traditional fabric, guided by women who have done this for generations.We roll back into Ha Giang and arrive at Jasmine Hostel around 3:00 – 4:00 PM. Tired legs, full hearts, and a phone full of photos you’ll never delete.This isn’t just a tour. It’s the road that changes you.
• Arrive at Ha Giang homestay around 5 – 5:30PM. Say goodbye to the driver and guide and then get basic dinner (take a shower, go for a stroll around Ha Giang City by yourself and come back, wait for the bus pick up at homestay for back Ha Noi).
• 21:00 Get on the bus and back to Hanoi.
