07:30 – Hotel Pick-up in Hanoi
Our private driver and local English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Depart Hanoi and begin your scenic journey to Bac Son Valley, located in Lang Son Province, about 160 km northeast of the capital.
08:00–11:30 – Transfer via Expressway QL3 & QL1B
You’ll travel through Thai Nguyen Province and enter the mountainous roads of Lang Son. A short break will be taken along the way for refreshments.
11:30 – Arrival at Tay Ethnic Village in Bac Son Valley
Welcome to Bac Son Valley — a hidden gem surrounded by karst limestone mountains and golden rice paddies (especially beautiful in harvest season: late July – early August & October).
You will be welcomed with green tea and friendly smiles at a traditional Tay ethnic stilt house, where you will stay overnight.
12:00 – Local Lunch & Relaxation
Enjoy a freshly cooked Tay-style lunch with local produce, prepared by the host family. After lunch, relax, walk around the garden, or rest briefly before the afternoon hike.
14:00 – Begin the Hike to Na Lay Mountain Peak
Na Lay Mountain (600m high) is the iconic viewpoint of Bac Son Valley. A moderate hike (about 30–45 minutes) will take you to the top via a well-built concrete staircase and trail.
14:45 – Enjoy the Spectacular Panoramic View
At the summit, you’ll witness one of the most breathtaking views in Northern Vietnam:

16:00 – Descend to Don Riec I Village
After soaking in the view, begin your descent through Don Riec I, a quiet Tay village with rustic charm.
17:00 – Return to the Homestay
You’ll arrive back at the stilt house with time to wash up, relax, and explore the surrounding village on foot.
18:30 – Dinner & Cultural Exchange
Sit down to a warm Tay-style dinner featuring sticky rice, mountain herbs, grilled pork, and local rice wine (rượu ngô).
Enjoy stories from your hosts about their daily life, beliefs, and customs. If you're lucky, there may be a Tay folk song performance.
Overnight in a clean, cozy stilt house room with mattress, mosquito net, and shared facilities.
06:30 – Wake up to Fresh Mountain Air
Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the countryside — roosters crowing, distant river flow, and fresh air. Optional short walk around the village at sunrise.

Traditional breakfast including sticky rice or bánh chưng (rice cakes), tea or local coffee.

07:45 – 3-Hour Guided Trek: Explore Tay Culture & Nature
Start your authentic rural trekking experience:
Walk to Don Riec II Village, where you’ll pass banyan trees, a local school, and children playing in village courtyards.
Continue on buffalo trails leading uphill to Lan Hat Hill – another great viewpoint over Don Riec I.
Enter a bamboo forest trail, shaded and peaceful, ideal for light adventure.
Hike through the valleys of Hat – Ri – Day, where Tay farmers cultivate rice and corn and harvest forest products. Learn about ethnic agricultural life.
10:30 – Arrive at Tin Keng Day Pass
From this point, you’ll have a sweeping view of Tan Son Tay Village, the final panorama before ending your trek.
10:45 – Pick-up by Car and Return to Homestay
Our driver will meet you at the trail’s end for a short transfer back to the homestay.
11:30 – Lunch & Rest at the Homestay

13:00 – Depart for Hanoi
Begin the 3.5–4 hour return drive to Hanoi, with one short break on the way.
